Ek Balam
The Ek Balam archaeological area was built up of several temples, two large palaces and a pyramid in the center of the city. The enormous dimensions of its buildings are particularly striking and surrounded by two walls.
Accompanied by your own certified guide walk through this archaeological area which is one of the most recent discoveries about Mayan culture and located 30 kilometers north of the city of Valladolid. Dare to climb the top of the acropolis and cross the different roads of this walled site.

Just 20 minutes from Ek Balam, we find the colonial city of Valladolid, founded in 1543, also known as the "The Pearl of the West", of incredible beauty embodied in its extraordinary buildings and houses, such as the imposing monastery of the convent of "San Bernardino de la Sierra ", the Santa Ana Church, the San Roque Museum, among others that give an extraordinary touch of color and tradition of the colonial era and Mayan culture.
During the Ek Balam-Valladolid tour, you can enjoy about an hour free to take photos, buy some souvenirs or take a walk to the representative buildings.
